What We’re Looking Forward to this Spring in Annapolis

This has definitely felt like the longest winter ever and we are ready for sunshine, warm weather, and fun activities!  Here is what we are looking forward to this Spring in Annapolis!

St. Patrick’s Day Parade ~ March 8, 2026

The Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held Sunday, March 8 with a new route traveling from West St, around Church Circle and ending at State Circle!  Don your best green and don’t miss this spectacular event showcasing our favorite local businesses, schools, and other Irish heritage groups!  For more details, check out https://www.visitannapolis.org/events/annual-events-and-festivals/st-patricks-parade/

Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning ~ March 22, 2026

Join us at the Annapolis Maritime Museum this Saturday, March 22 for raw and roasted oysters, food trucks, live music, and of course, the burning of the socks - a commemorative ritual that signifies the start of the spring sailing season!  This event requires tickets to be pre-purchased.  Drink tickets will be sold at the event.  For more information, check out https://amaritime.org/event/annapolis-oyster-roast-sock-burning/

Maryland Day Celebrations ~ March 19-25, 2026

Did you know that this March 25th will be the 123rd commemorative celebration of “Maryland Day”, the day that the first Europeans arrived on Piscataway lands.  With historical, cultural, and family-friendly events, including guided tours of the historic William Paca House & Garden and the Charles Carroll House, this is a week of festivities not to be missed!  For more information on the different events being hosted, check out https://www.marylandday.org

Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show ~ April 24-26, 2026

Set in the heart of Annapolis at City Dock from April 24-26, the Spring Sailboat Shows bring over 100 new vessels to display including monohulls, catamarans, racing boats, and more!  Renowned vendors will also be selling merchandise, equipment, gear, and electronics.  While we don’t have a sailboat in our fleet (yet!), we will definitely be checking out this show!  And don’t forget that all Dock Street businesses are OPEN for business during the construction at City Dock, so be sure to grab a drink at Admirals Cup or a hot dog from Pip’s before hitting the boat shows! https://www.annapolisboatshows.com/products/annapolis-spring-sailboat-show/

May Day

Every May 1st, the businesses and homes of historic downtown Annapolis are transformed into a beautiful floral display of color and creativity.  With each business showing off its own unique display, May Day is not something to be missed!  Grab an iced coffee at Rise Up! Annapolis and stroll up and down Main Street and Maryland Avenue (and all of the neighborhood streets in between) to welcome the beauty of spring time in Annapolis!  And don’t forget to stop by and purchase a bouquet from Darim, the Annapolis Flower Man on Church Circle next to Reynolds Tavern!
